Das Seminar setzt sich mit zwei aktuellen bedeutenden Vereinbarungen zur Stadtentwicklung auseinander: Die Sustainable Developement Goals (SDG, 2015-2030) und die New Urban Agenda (NUA, ab 2016). Im Fall der SDGs analysiert das Seminar die Themen und Ziele , die für Stadtplaner und Architekten relevant sind . In einem zweiten Schritt werden mögliche lokal angepasste Indikatoren zur Zielerfüllung diskutiert. Was sind mögliche Rollen von Stadtplanern und Architekten bei den SDGs?Im Fall der NUA geht es darum, was die dort genannten Ansätze, Ziele und Visionen eigentlich konkret für Stadtplanung und Architektur bedeuten und wie sie lokal umgesetzt werden können. Auch werden Zielkonflikte und Widersprüche innerhalb der NUA besprochen. Was ist die Rolle von Stadtplanern und Architekten bei der NUA?Das Seminar setzt eine aktive Mitarbeit der Studierenden in Form von Referaten voraus.
The seminar deals with two current major urban development agreements: the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG, 2015-2030) and the New Urban Agenda (NUA, from 2016 onwards). In the case of the SDGs, the seminar analyzes the topics and goals that are relevant to urban planners and architects. In a second step, possible locally adjusted indicators for target achievement are discussed. What are possible roles of urban planners and architects in the SDGs?In the case of NUA, it is about what the approaches, goals and visions mentioned there really mean for urban planning and architecture and how they can be implemented locally. Also, goal conflicts and contradictions within the NUA are discussed. What is the role of city planners and architects at NUA?The seminar requires the active participation of students in the form of papers.
